Policy of quotas to admission in Federal institutions of higher education: an interdisciplinary study about the Law 12.711/2012

The policy of quotas to admission in federal universities is based on the need to democratize the access to such institutions. This policy has undergone changes in relation to their beneficiaries, because it has emerged with the racial character and passed to contemplate the social and economic aspects. A documental and bibliography's study, this work aims criticize the aspects about the constitutionality of quotas system deployed in Brazilian universities and evaluating whether this law is according to the law and in line with the Brazilian social economic reality.
