Every political actor uses strategies and projections to maximize his gains, in this case, win the elections. This article analyzes the political projections used by the Rio Grande do Sul PMDB to remain active in the regional legislative branch, with a focus between the legislatures from 1982 to 2010. The PMDB is a political party that has five decades of existence, being that his relationship with the Brazilian policy is inextricably linked with the process of re-democratization. One of the first findings indicates that the main ambition of the parliamentarians peemedebistas in the Legislative Assembly Gaucha is the attempt of reelection, that is to say, the static projection. In addition, there are other projections (regressive and progressive), of party loyalty and, also, of a positive reflection in terms of electoral accountability among the parliamentary peemedebistas.
