The international migrations to Brazil received prominence in the national press since the mass migration of Haitians and Africans from 2010. Recently, another daily highlighted flow is the one of Venezuelans, categorized as economic immigrants, refugees and political asylees, who, because of the political, economic and democratic crisis that Venezuela is experiencing, are seeking protection in Brazil. Thus, this article analyses through a report of the newspaper O Globo, the perceptions given by the Brazilian journalism to this migratory wave. Using the concept of remediation, we inferred that the migration issue is portrayed with a positivist and post-positivist perspective by the Brazilian press.Downloads
