Mental health of penitentiary agents in Brazil: a systematic literature review

This study’s main goal is to present a systematic review of the Brazilian literature from the last ten years related to mental health of penitentiary agents. The survey was conducted through the portals BVS-Psi and BVS. There were 931 articles and eight of them were selected. According to the studies, penitentiary agents are unmotivated, professionally dissatisfied, anxious, and feeling emotional distress and high stress level. However, some studies showed that these workers feel confident about job stability and have bonus payment in salary.Downloads
