Art faces the state: repertories on the fight of cinema and theater against Military Regime

Abstract

The military dictatorship brought innumerable sequels to Brazil, especially to the arts, causing the artistic class to acquire a major role. This article aims to examine the forms of resistance of the artistic class, especially the theatrical production and the most expressive films of the period. From the methodological point of view, it will be a qualitative work aiming at historical reconstruction and bibliographical revision, as a result of research we understand that the arts have become trenches to fight against dictatorship.

César Alessandro Sagrillo Figueiredo, Universidade Federal do Tocantins

Está vinculado como Prof.º Adjunto II em Ciência Política no Curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais da Universidade Federal de Tocantins (UFT) e líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Violência e Estado, desenvolvendo atividades de ensino, pesquisa e extensão. Possui doutorado em Ciência Política na linha de pesquisa de Política Internacional pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência Política da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), em 2013. Possui Mestrado em Ciência Política pela mesma Instituição e programa, em 2009. Também, foi professor pela UFRGS no curso O ENSINO DA SOCIOLOGIA PARA PROFESSORES DO ENSINO MÉDIO. Foi bolsista de Pós-Doutorado da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPEL) no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Política (PPGCPOL), fazendo parte da equipe do Projeto de Investigação de Metodologia de Pesquisa em Ciência Política do Núcleo de Políticas Públicas (NEPU) e como professor docente do PPGCPOL/UFPel, no período 2013/2014. Foi coordenador do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais da Universidade Federal do Tocantins, na gestão de abril de 2015 a abril de 2017. Realizou estágio de Pós-doutorado no PPG Letras da UFT, desenvolvendo pesquisa com o tema acerca da Literatura do Exílio, no período 2017/2018. Está credenciado como professor permanente no PPG Letras/UFT. Atualmente, realiza estágio de Pós-doutorado no PPG Letras da UFT, desenvolvendo pesquisa sobre cinema e literatura política, no período de 2019/2020. Trabalha com a linha de pesquisa em Memória Política, Partidos Políticos, Ditadura Militar e Literatura Política, realizando pesquisa sobre a Guerrilha do Araguaia, Justiça de Transição e Literatura do Testemunho.
