Social protection of children and adolescents: a look through the participating observation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the possible contributions of a Social Protection program, regarding social insertion and violence prevention, for children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in the Vale dos Sinos region. It has an exploratory-descriptive design and qualitative methodology. It was concluded that the program presents possible contributions while an environment that gives voice to the subject, guarantees it’s social and cultural expression, allows the acquisition of skills in a pleasurable way, self-confidence and social belonging.
