This article investigates the main narrative and thematic aspects in the webcomics Mentirinhas, by the artist Fábio Coala, through the neopragmatist philosophy of Richard Rorty. Initially, we will present the investigation of digital comics, that is, webcomics, their characteristics and the cultural context in which they occupy in our society, they have numerous themes and artistic traits that have been expanding the concept of comic narratives. Then we will present Richard Rorty's neopragmatist theory on the use of narratives in the formation of individuals. The theoretical contribution is based on Rorty (2007), Santos, Corrêa and Tomé (2013), Silva (2018), Amoreira (2018) and Krening (2015). Finally, we relate the narrative and thematic aspects of the Lies web strips with Rorty's neopragmatist philosophy.Downloads
