A preservação de bens culturais no contexto do capitalismo tardio

Resumo

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar os desafios epistemológicos e filosóficos colocados no contexto contemporâneo para a teoria e as políticas de preservação do patrimônio cultural, na ênfase de uma problematização da resultante demanda por uma formação geral e técnico-profissional especializada voltada para o trabalho de conservação e restauração de bens culturais, tendo como perspectiva teórico-metodológica o materialismo histórico-dialético e a ontologia do ser social.  Desde o âmbito mais amplo das relações entre trabalho e educação, e da sociologia da cultura em particular, se busca uma reflexão a partir de aproximações entre os conceitos de memória social, cultura material, e categorias da teoria crítica marxista.

The preservation of cultural heritage inthe context of late capitalism

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the epistemological and philosophical challengesin the contemporary context for theory and policies of the preservation of cultural heritage, with emphasis on a questioning of the resulting demand for general education and technical vocational specialist focused on the work of conservation and restoration work of cultural property, in theoretical methodological perspective on the dialectical historical materialism and the ontology of social being. From the broader context of the relationship between work and education, and the sociology of culture in particular, a relection from the similatiries between the concepts of social memory, material culture and categories of the Marxist critical theory is searched.
