This research intends to approach, through preliminary discussions, the Secondary Education Reform and the way it contrasts with the Federal Institutes of Science and Technology Education (IFs). Bibliographic research techniques are used, with regard to the literature on professional education and the High School Reform, and documentary research, with regard to legal provisions related to education and guiding documents of the IFs. It is understood that the Institutes find themselves in a complex and vulnerable position that threatens the main principles on which their project is based.Downloads
