This article is a separate section of the research project for the ProfEPT/IFSul master's degree program in Professional and Technological Education and focuses its analysis on the Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies Centers (NEABIs). The aim of this study is to provide a grounded analysis of the implementation of Laws No. 10.639/03 and No. 11.645/08 in the promotion of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations within the institutional framework of IFSul, based on the perspectives and reports of the coordinators of these NEABIs. Using a methodological approach of a qualitative nature, this study sought to describe the actions taken by the NEABIs to put the aforementioned legislation into effect by conducting semi-structured interviews with the coordinators of these centers. The study demonstrates the importance of the NEABIs' actions in ensuring that laws on racial issues are applied at IFSul and contributing to the training sought by the institution.
