Abstract

The São José Project plays a crucial role in empowering women in rural areas of the state of Ceará, especially through the innovative tool "Fazendo as Contas," aimed at promoting efficient management and commercialization of products. The research sought to assess the effectiveness of the training in the use of this pedagogical and methodological tool within the context of the São José Project III - 2nd phase, through a case study with the farmers of the Cooperativa União dos Agricultores Familiares de Paracuru (Coopuafam). A questionnaire developed by the Gerência de Planejamento, Monitoramento e Avaliação (Geplama) and the Assessoria de Gestão Social (Ageso) was utilized. The results indicated a high satisfaction level among participants with the "Fazendo as Contas" course, highlighting the efficiency of the pedagogical approach in making the content accessible. The tool was considered easy to learn and use, contributing to the effective knowledge-building process. Participants expressed interest in future training stages. The research emphasized the importance of swift information collection to identify and overcome obstacles in the upcoming course stages, while also underscoring the need for awareness regarding the importance of responding to evaluative questionnaires. The recommendations aim at the continuous improvement of the project, contributing to economic development in rural communities in Ceará.
