Uma análise sobre a constituição do Serviço de Educação do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (Belém-Pará)

Abstract

This article aims to analyze and reflect on the initial years of the Education Service of the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Through qualitative methodology, we conducted documentary analysis of reports on educational activities and other documents, as well as semi-structured and structured interviews with some members of the educational team. We found that institutional changes in the early years, along with support from national and regional institutions, were crucial for the emergence and consolidation of the Museology Division and the Education and Cultural Extension Division. Additionally, we understand that the educational actions developed during the studied period were shaped by the personal projects of educators in harmony with institutional needs to reach new audiences and/or alleviate conflicts created by the institution itself.

Iván Borroto Rodríguez, Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi

Licenciado em Biologia pela Universidad de la Habana (2001, Cuba). Mestre em Biotecnología Vegetal pelo Instituto de Biotecnología de las Plantas (2008, Cuba). Doutor em Educação (2019, Brasil) e Pós-doutor em Educação (2021, Brasil) pela Universidade Federal do Paraná. Possui experiência em educação e pesquisa na área de Ciências Ambientais com ênfase em Educação Ambiental, e em Museologia e Educação Museal com ênfase em museus de ciências.

Ana Claudia dos Santos da Silva , Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi

Possui graduação em Turismo pela Universidade Federal do Pará (1990), mestrado em Memória Social pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2000) e doutorado em ciências sócio ambiental pelo Núcleo de Altos Estudos Amazônico/UFPA (2018). Participou de Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche financiado pela CAPES, no Programa de Estudos Culturais da Universidade de Aveiro (2017) .Técnico - coordenação de museologia - Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi/ MCTIC.
