The superheroes of comic books and their derivations for movies and series, bring in their plots issues concerning the human condition, issues such as virtues, moral and ethical discussions are so common, but also focus on issues about community spirit, mutual trust, strength and courage, inspiring themes for human development. However, these icons of pop culture are little known and especially not worked in school environments. Much of this is due to the devaluation of this cultural object and not knowing how to use them as learning tools. Today, there are numerous studies that show gains in student performance in using these characters (WESCHENFELDER, 2017). Used in several areas, superheroes are strong influences and can empower children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability, especially in the school environment. Therefore, this article aims at analysing and proposing new possibilities of continued education for teachers in basic education schools, demonstrating that superheroes may be important resources for the development of interventions to generate socioemotional competences and ethical education in diverse educational contexts.
