This article was adapted from the doctoral thesis entitled “The virtualized-poetic body: An essay on the experience of creation and corporeity of young teenagers with online theater”, from the year 2024. Here, we sought to reflect on how The gaze, especially of young teenagers, relates to the technological and contemporary world through their corporeity. As a method, an online theater workshop was held in 2023 with Final Year students from municipal schools in a coastal city in Rio Grande do Sul. From this experience, it was possible to perceive some important issues in the corporeity of these teenagers in relation to artistic and sensitive expressiveness, their social relationships in a remote digital environment (synchronous or asynchronous), as well as the possibilities of appropriating the world with these experiments. It is concluded that the gaze, instigated through the signs of Art, allows a [self]discovery of senses and meanings that expands the potential of attentive recognition and the consequent inventive cognition about the world in which one lives.
