This article aims to show the evolution and the fundamentals of EAD, as well as to verify the students ' perception and opinion about this way of teaching. To do so, bibliographic searches were carried out in order to know the concepts, fundamentals and evolution of EAD, and later a field research with middle school students from the town of Sud Mennucci, which offers free wireless internet for the citizens, thus enabling access to online courses or semi-attendance. The research showed that the EAD is not so recent and is already a reality that is increasingly gaining space and even reaching small towns like Sud Mennucci.
