Um empresário teatral na periferia do capitalismo: François Cassoulet 1897 – 1917

Aborda-se, neste artigo, a trajetória de François Cassoulet em Ribeirão Preto, interior do Estado de São Paulo, entre 1896 e 1917, quando foi dono de restaurantes e administrador de empresas teatrais e cassinos. Discutem-se o funcionamento dos negócios e suas relações com as ‘frações de classe dirigente’ locais, tendo como base sua administração junto ao Teatro Carlos Gomes.
