The social representation of to be teacher of academics in Physical Education degree before and after of inicial formation

The aim of this study was to analyze the representations that the academics of a course in physical education degree at a public university of southern Brazil have about to be a teacher before and after the initial formation and if it has changed. We characterized the research as descriptive qualitative of the type case study. The instrument of collection information was a questionnaire with open questions. The interpretation of the information was made through content analysis. Participle 10 academics of the 8th semester of that course. The results evidenced that the representations of academics about to be teacher before and after the initial formation are not the same, because changes have occurred, prevailing at this moment representations more consistent with the proposals and objectives targeted by degree course in Physical Education studied, being that disappearing the representations of to be teacher linked to a reproductive education of society and appear representations linked to a transforming education of society.
