Abstract

In this article we seek to connect the discussion of contemporary childhood, play as language and the proposals of scientific dissemination in evidence for the children’s audience. Therefore, we describe and analyze the case of a workshop and an exhibition prepared for a national scientific event. Both initiatives aimed to connect the creation of a purposeful physical space and scientific work from simple methods, traditionally linked to different sciences: observation of the researcher and generating hypotheses. We understand that the organization of space and its contents were crucial for children to identify scientific records in the proposed working groups (“Findings”, “Hidden”, “Discoveries”). In this way, it is proposed that the simplest forms of organization be considered to arouse the scientific curiosity of the children. And so, dialogue with children’s culture, unlike the technological apparatus and appliances increasingly present in science communication initiatives and events for this audience.
