A educação ambiental e a prática de ensino – um relato de experiências

A cada dia, a questão ambiental vem ganhando importância maior na área de ensino. Trata-se de um tema em que cabe a todos os professores a função de despertar nos alunos a capacidade de perceber, julgar e refletir sobre problemas ambientais cotidianos, motivando-os à prática de educação ambiental. Para a educação, parte-se do princípio de que o aluno tem um papel fundamental na formação de gerações preocupadas com as questões ambientais. A prática de projetos ambientais em escolas oferece justamente uma ferramenta extra para esta árdua tarefa: proporcionar ao aluno oportunidade para o desenvolvimento de uma consciência ambiental. No Brasil, ainda são poucas as experiências com projetos ambientais em escolas. Contudo, algumas experiências já apresentam sucesso. Um bom exemplo de sucesso é o projeto do Colégio La Salle, Núcleo Bandeirante - DF. Este projeto, desenvolvido pelos professores do ensino médio, desde 2003, compreende a discussão de uma base teórica sobre as questões ambientais, principalmente as referentes ao domínio dos Cerrados, e pesquisa de campo.

Abstract : Environmental education and the practice of teaching – report of experience. Each day the environmental question is getting more and more important on education area. it´s an issue on which teachers must stimulate the student’s capacity of realizing, judging and reflecting about environmental problems daily, encouranging them to practice the environmental education. For education, student´s have the fundamental function in the formation of generations worried about environmental question. The practice of environmental project´s on schools offer an extra tool for this hard work: To promote student´s oportunity to develop environmental aware. In Brazil, the experiences with environmental project in schools are few, yet. however, some experiences are successful. A good example of successful is a project of La Salle school, Núcleo Bandeirante-DF. This project, developed by high school teachers, since 2003, discussed the theorical basis concerned to environmental questions, mainly the ones on savana issue, and field research.
