Studies linked to the problem of teacher training at the national and international level reveal the limitations of professional performance with the required quality in education, due mainly to the insufficient treatment of the possibility of inserting inter/transdisciplinary pedagogical practices. This essay aims to discuss the need for an inter/transdisciplinary perspective in educational practices, with a focus on teacher training at different levels of training, initial and continuing. The methodology used is based on the bibliographic review to support our theoretical construction. The theoretical analysis of the references taken from the hermeneutic paradigm makes it possible to identify the importance of guiding the epistemological approach in multidimensionality required by the teacher training process in the current scenario.
