The feminist movement brought advances which have promoted the reduction of disparity of power between men and women. These advances did not happen homogeneously in the different social classes. This study aimed to analyze the man versus woman relationship with respect to adolescents from lower social level of economic power. The research  method adopted was qualitative by means of interviews with adolescents at the Center for the Study of Adolescent Health at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (NESSA-UERJ). We interviewed 20 female adolescents aged 16 to 19 years. It was observed that the representations of adolescent sexuality in relation to indicators demonstrate the permanence of moral and behavioral love \ sex patterns marked by male domination. Changes in the man versus woman relationship in the public sphere did not occur at the same intensity in the private and private sphere.
