Open Access

Revista Conhecimento & Diversidade (RCD) provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public is true institutional support for knowledge exchange.

RCD is an open-access journal, meaning that all its published content can be accessed free of charge by any reader, anywhere in the world, regardless of affiliation.

This means that not only researchers supported by well-funded institutions, but also policymakers, NGOs, journalists, practitioners, students, and interested public have free access to the research articles. Thus there is a significant increase in the exposure gained by new publications, allowing them to be disseminated to a much wider audience than is possible through traditional subscription journals.

Open-access publishing is committed to the democratization of knowledge with the overcoming of asymmetries in access to research in relation to non-open-access journals. Indeed, our open access policy means that any reader, student, or researcher from any institution, anywhere in the world, can have access to the full extent of our publications without subscription costs.

In addition, unlike traditional journals, RCD adopts a Creative Commons license, not assuming for itself the copyright of articles published through open access.

In this way, authors retain the copyright to their own work and are free to distribute it as they wish. Again, this allows authors to maximize the audience their works can reach, rather than binding them to a limited audience of subscribers.
