Abstract

Abstract:  The present study intended to discuss the principle of inseparability between teaching, research and extension in Brazil, this theoretical contribution was used to analyze the activities, presented in the 2022 institutional report of the PET Medicine group at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro, seeking to demonstrate how the group developed its activities respecting the principle of inseparability. The Tutorial Education Program-PET is a government program that seeks to promote teaching, research and extension, with the strategy of constructing an educational practice based on the integration of knowledge. Understanding the work of these groups can contribute to the improvement of formative processes in higher education. The results, after analyzing the 2022 reports, indicate that the group successfully met the program's objective of providing comprehensive education that encompasses the university triad.
