Places of Historical Memory are spaces where human rights have been violated in the context of political violence (dictatorships, terrorism, wars, etc.). At present, the Places of Memory have been recovered by various human rights organizations where collective projects have been designed that aim to vindicate and resignify the Memory and History of space. Along with this, the memorial centers challenge citizens demanding justice, truth and reparation for the victims, their families and society as a whole. The memorial sites develop training activities with the aim of to promote peace and human rights education. They also encourage values and principles to strengthen democratic coexistence.
