The present study has the objective of understanding how culture (in its subjective dimension) is translated in objective terms transforming itself in public policy (instrument). To achieve that, we made a discussion around the plurality of culture comprehension and its subjective and objective dimensions – according to Simmel (2004) – and the goals of the Plano Nacional de Cultura (National Plan on Culture) that contemplate education, aiming to understand up to which point such goals effectively collaborate to improve access to culture in basic education in Brazilian public schools.Downloads
