Children's and youth Literature under the perspective of Psychology

The present review of literature, addresses the relationship between psychology and Children's Literature. It aims to clarify the aggregation of sociocultural values​​, the formulation of critical ideal, cognitive development, relevance of the stimulus to reading and, especially, the influence of stories on the psychological of infants. Through the analysis of some studies, we also noticed that there is a strong likelihood of Children's Literature influence the formation of subjectivity of the child. However, we emphasize the need of more studies of interventional character on long term.
