This paper aims to study teachers’ remuneration from basic education in the city of Campo Grande - MS. Through the Annual Social Information (ASI), available by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor (BML), we investigate the differences related to payment between teachers from different educational levels, public and private networks in the period of 2006-2014. According to the results, basic education teachers, who work in the municipal and state areas had higher readjustments in compensation than the ones working in privates entities, compared to the annual average readjustments. However, when comparing to other professions, with the same level of graduation, teachers from basic education, in general, still receive far below expectations. Yet, the data presented also indicates the value of teachers’ remuneration from basic schools that time.
