SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN POLICE SCIENCE SECURITY AND PUBLIC ORDER OF APMBB IN QUESTION.

Abstract

This work is about the way Community Police philosophy is internalized in the students of the current Bachelor of Police Science Security and Public Order. The study was based on surveys as well as on a research carried out at Academia de Polícia Militar do Barro Branco. Their results show the necessity of complementing the information students receive in classroom with social and community actions. Concerning the way this complementation may be effected, the theoretical fundaments were based on higher education social responsibility, aiming to identify theoretical and practical support which offer possible changes that can provide students with a contact with the community they are inserted in, allowing them to  have community partnership. Such contact intends to submit the student to problem situations (social and moral conflicts) which will contribute with the edifications of a moral personality and the interiorization of the Community Police philosophy.
