Abstract

The debate about continuing education of teachers of elementary education has generated a large scale importance in the educational environment especially from the academic literature, public policy and developed experience. The university has played a significant role in driving this process of training through partnerships with the Ministry of Education and systems with state and local education favoring the link between basic education and undergraduate education. Thus, this paper aims to socialize the actions of continuous training of teachers in the EDUCIMAT program: Training, Technologies and Services in Education in Science and Mathematics, developed in the period from 2004 to 2009 by the Federal University of Pará in collaboration with other institutions of undergraduate education. The reflection on goals and actions of the program is derived from a survey of bibliographical and documentary developed in the Specialization Course on Rural Education, Development and Sustainability of the Program of Graduate Studies in Education at UFPA. The article presents the objectives, the principles and guidelines of the National Network of Continuing Education of Teachers of Continuing Education of Teachers, which is linked EDUCIMAT Program, to then reflect on their goals and the developed actions.
