Abstract

The purpose of this material is to communicate knowledge that takes into account the idea of institutional interculturality. It is imagined that institutional practice, especially in training spaces, such as universities, should be challenged to build references that take into account differences. It is noteworthy that o the main mobilizing objective of the study was to describe possible tensions related to interculturality in institutional documentary practices of the Degree in Intercultural Basic Education at the Federal University of Rondônia - UNIR. The main methodology used Regarding the methodological aspects, the research is based on a documentary investigative perspective (KRIPKA; SCHELLER; BONOTTO, 2015) in which writing is seen as a collective narrative and “synthesis” of the systemic spectra that intertwines history as a fact and performance. The chosen theoretical field refers to the critical perspective of interculturality expressed by the Modernity / Coloniality Group for whom, the term must be seen in its political, ethical and epistemic characteristics. Preliminary results indicate that, at the institutional level, intercultutrality is still an unknown concept, requiring the reconstruction of approaches and formative discussion for its implementation.
