Currículo para o desafio à xenofobia: algumas reflexões multiculturais na educação

O presente artigo pretende contribuir sobre reflexões a respeito do currículo para o desafio à xenofobia, focalizando particularmente a dimensão anti-racista a imbuí-lo. O argumento que apresento é que o currículo desafiador da xenofobia poderia se beneficiar de uma perspectiva multicultural pós-colonial e de estudos sobre a “branquidade” que vão além do reconhecimento da diversidade cultural, incorporando discursos que desafiam narrativas excludentes. Desta forma, inicialmente discuto implicações da abordagem multicultural para um currículo desafiador da xenofobia. Em seguida, procuro refletir sobre alguns impactos sobre professores e escolas discutindo consequências e possíveis caminhos futuros para perspectivas anti-racistas e anti-xenofóbicas no currículo.
Curriculum and the Challenge of Xenophobia: some multicultural reflections in education
Abstract
The present paper intends to contribuite towards reflections on the curriculum so as to challenge xenophobia, particulary focusing on an anti-racist perspective to imbue it. The argument presented is that curriculum that challenges xenofobia could benefit from a post-colonial and multicultural perspective, as well as from withness studies that go beyond the recognition of cultural diversity and incorporate discousers that challenge exlusionary narratives. In this way, i initaly discuss implications of a multicultural perspective in order to build curriculum that challenges xenofobia.Then, i try to reflect on some of the impacts of such a perspective on teachers and schools , discussing consequences and possible future ways for perspectives of anti-racist and anti-xenofobic in the curriculum.
