República velha: trabalho faz greves; Estado e capital recuam nas premissas liberais

Abstract

Este artigo trata de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre algumas teses acerca da relação capital-trabalho no Brasil as quais negligenciaram a organização dos trabalhadores nas décadas de 1910 e 1920. Pesquisamos alguns documentos da principal associação industrial do país publicados no período, os quais nos permitiram perceber o clamor dos empresários pela intervenção do Estado na relação capital-trabalho, bem como a forte pressão dos trabalhadores para que os capitalistas assumissem uma postura de defesa da criação de direitos.

Old Republic: labor goes on strike; state and capital go back in their liberal premises

Abstract

This is a literature review on some theories about the relationship between capital and labor in Brazil, which have neglected the organization of workers in the 1910s and 1920s. We have researched some documents from the main industry association in the country published in that period, which allowed us to understand the cry of the businessmen for State intervention in the capital-labor ratio, as well as the strong pressure from workers so that capitalists would assume a posture of defense of the creation of rights.
