We try to investigate whether the Public Policy of implemented Assessment, since 1995, in the Brazilian Undergraduate Education potentialized effective improvements in the couses quality. We worked with the concepts of quality in general, quality in education and institutional assessment. We used a qualitative approach, the strategy of multiple cases and the techniques of data collection, semistructured interviews and document analysis. We searched four managers of Administration courses of private and public institutions of undergraduate education in the state of Sao Paulo. We realized that although we find improvements - mainly infrastructural - much remains to be done starting with (re) define the concept of quality since the policies are related to business models incompatible with an educational organization.Downloads
