Notes on the teaching trajectory of professor Paulo Plentz: memories of practice in multigrade classes in Novo Hamburgo /RS (1965-1995)

This study has as aim to unfold facts around the path of a teacher whose teaching took place in the rural area of Novo Hamburgo – RS, in 1965-1995. It intends, therefore, to analyze how the trajectory interweaves with the teaching practice in multi-serial classes makes it possible to understand a fragment of the rural teaching in this municipality. The survey, of qualitative nature, uses the methodology of oral history through semi-structured interviews. The theoretical reference is based in the perspective of the cultural history, having the memories as document. The memories of this teacher allowed knowing a bit about the development of the public school in Lomba Grande emphasizing the importance that the literacy represented for the teachers of rural areas.Downloads
