Diversidade e alteridade em Tomás de Aquino

Resumo

Um dos temas mais fascinantes da filosofia contemporânea é, sem dúvida, o do outro como diversidade e alteridade. Tomás de Aquino dedicou-se intensamente à categoria do outro no contexto de sua reflexão filosófica e teológica. E, juntamente com o tema do outro, aprofundou a análise filosófica da diversidade e da alteridade, a fim de orientar igualmente a sua teologia do Deus que é o mesmo quanto à essência e outro quanto às pessoas. A pluralidade das pessoas divinas, à qual se refere o nome Trindade, parece implicar uma alteridade real em Deus. Eis a razão pela qual decidimos investigar as obras filosóficas e teológicas de Santo Tomás a respeito do outro, da diversidade e da alteridade.

Diversity and alterity in Thomas Aquinas

Abstract

One of the most fascinating subjects of contemporary philosophy is undoubtedly the other as diversity and alterity. Thomas Aquinas intensely devoted himself to study the other in his philosophical and theological thinking. At the same time, deepened the philosophical analysis of diversity and otherness to also guide the theology of a God that is the same in substance and another in ratio to people. The plurality of divine people, to which refers the name Trinity, seems to imply a real alterity in God. That’s the reason why we decided to investigate St. Thomas’ philosophical and theological writings about the other, diversity and alterity.
